Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup has always offered some excellent color choices throughout its history: Army Green, Electric Lime, Terra, Mudbath, the list goes on. This year, Toyota adds another sweet color to its already strong palette: Wave Maker. Developed by Toyota’s Calty Design team, Wave Maker marks the eleventh unique paint choice for the TRD Pro lineup. It is one of five colors available on the TRD Pro models for 2025 (for now), alongside Ice Cap, Magnetic Grey, Midnight Black, and the aforementioned Mudbath.
“We’ve had warm natural hues inspired by traditional landscapes for a few years now, such as Terra and Mudbath as signature colors. With Wave Maker, we draw inspiration from untouched adventure areas, including extreme terrains and even beyond Earth. This new color is similar to the Heritage Blue offered on other models like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser but still maintains its uniqueness. It stands out from its sibling colors with a brighter finish and more blue-green hues. In fact, there are not many colors on the market currently that can match it. The Wave Runner will be available on the TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting late this year. Toyota has not confirmed whether there will be an additional charge, but expect an additional price increase between $350 and $475 if there is one (and most likely there will be).
