Aslina’s tears flowed uncontrollably as she shared her life-changing experience at the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG) in Cempedak Lobang, Sei Rampah, Serdang Bedagai. Expressing her gratitude towards the program that has transformed her life, Aslina thanked the officials for their support and hoped for the program’s continuity. Visited by Hasan Nasbi, Head of the Presidential Communication Office, and North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution along with other regional leaders, Aslina stood proud of her new role in preparing nutritious meals for schoolchildren in her community.
Similarly, Normawati, known as Norma, shared her joy in having extra income to support her family through the MBG program. With a smile on her face, she emphasized the importance of the program in providing healthy meals to her children while being able to work close to home. Joining them, Shinta Ramadana, a young woman previously unemployed, expressed her enthusiasm in working in food preparation and highlighted her responsibilities with zeal.
The MBG Program has not only impacted housewives like Aslina and Norma but also provided employment opportunities to numerous individuals, including Shinta. Data from the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) revealed that the program has employed 93,572 individuals across 2,378 SPPG units as of May 28, 2025, showcasing the transformative impact it has had nationwide. Beyond just offering nutritious meals, the program focuses on empowerment and turning kitchens into spaces of hope for many.
