President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, stated that the government’s efforts to ensure food security have been successful. Speaking during a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace, he expressed gratitude to all ministries and government agencies involved in securing the nation’s food supply. The President highlighted the importance of collaboration and teamwork in achieving the largest food reserves in the country’s history. He credited the swift measures taken by the government, particularly during the transition period from the previous administration, for the current stable food production. Emphasizing that food production is vital for national sovereignty, Prabowo stressed the significance of a nation being able to feed itself. He concluded that food production is of strategic importance for Indonesia’s independence.
