Banyuwangi BMX Supercross 2025: Martins Emils and Amellya Nur Sifa Shine on Day One
The prestigious Banyuwangi BMX Supercross 2025 international event officially kicked off on Saturday (15/11/2025), with Latvian rider Martins Emils and Indonesian athlete Amellya Nur Sifa dominating the competition on the first day.
Martins secured the top spot in the men elite category after completing the 465-meter track at BMX Muncar Circuit in 43 seconds. He outperformed Indonesian riders Rio Akbar and Rifki Fasya, who finished in second and third place, respectively.
For Martins, it was a debut in Banyuwangi, and he admitted that the long track and changing weather conditions posed some challenges at the start of the race. However, his quick adaptation allowed him to take control of the competition.
The Latvian rider praised the technical and enjoyable racing experience provided by the Muncar Circuit. He also highlighted the intense competition in the men elite category, with many strong riders participating.
In the women elite category, Amellya Nur Sifa emerged as the champion, with her compatriot Latifah securing the second spot. Amellya described the Banyuwangi track as the most challenging she had ever faced, citing its length and difficulty.
Despite the fierce competition, both local and international riders expressed their gratitude for the event and hoped to deliver better performances in the upcoming rounds.
